* The Idea is to translate the emotion created by the actresses and best representatives of the masterpieces of world cinema, such as the fascinating Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck “ Assurance on death” “  Double Indemnity », 1944), la touchante et irrésistible princesse Ann (Audrey Hepburn « Vacances romaines_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_» «Roman Holiday», 1953), the fragile and  sensual Madame de Tourvel or the disturbing  marquise de Merteuil (Michel Pfeiffer, Glenn Close "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" ,  « Dangerous Liaisons » 1989) la mère raffinée et majestueuse de Tadzio (Silvana Mangano, «_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Death in Venice_cc781 905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_» « Death in Venice »,  1971) l'envoutante et bouleversante Maddalena Cecconi (Anna Maniani “ Bellissima ”, 1951) and many more.

THE CONCEPT OF THE CINEMA DE MES NUITS BRAND IS THE CREATION OF A LINE OF WOMEN'S READY-TO-WEAR CLOTHING INSPIRED BY THE SEVENTH ART*

Kisses from Russia

Macha Totibadze has always  needed to create, to materialize her inspirations whatever the medium; dolls, sets, drawings, paintings and now couture. She comes from a long line of Georgian artists: theTbilisi Academy of Fine Arts bears the name of his grandfather, his father directed this same academy and his brothers are recognized painters in Russia. Her mother, Nana, muse incarnate, was a woman of great elegance whose echo is found in the dresses of this first collection.

Macha therefore naturally follows an artistic training, first in Moscow then in Paris, studies the history of fashion, theater and cinema costumes and participates as a painter in several exhibitions._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_"Creating is my way of moving forward, of expressing myself, it's a necessity".

Paris, I love you

Macha settles permanently in Paris where she gives birth to her daughter Paola. While continuing her artistic activities, she invested herself for about ten years in ready-to-wear by managing a clothing and lingerie import-export company.

For Macha Totibadze, every detail counts. Faced with a fashion that she sometimes finds a little bland, “ normatée ”, with too fast finishes, the choice to create her universe is essential. She then contacted all of Paris of fashion artisans, from haute-couture model makers to button makers and design offices to create her brand "Cinéma de mes nuits" and implement her first collection.

"When I was little, stores in Moscow offered very little choice." Perhaps in reaction, Macha has always loved fashion, playing with accessories, and especially fabrics in their great variety, which she likes to touch to better understand them. Even today, the choice of materials is a decisive element for its collection with complex cuts which for some are close to "Flou", and flirt with  la haute-couture._cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

We find Irish linen, British fabrics (Liberty), French lace (Sophie Hallette), Italian silk and viscose, as well as the traditional French know-how of pleating (Plissés de France).

The prototypes and the patronage were made by the designers of the KAMI design office (Kenzo, Céline, Lacroix, Givenchy...)

"There is a real know-how, a high level of technicality in creation in France. It is an opportunity which we must know how to take advantage of in order to preserve these trades and their production".

And God created the woman

Macha Totibadze presents 10 models for 10 seductive women, with a silhouette and distinction in common. This seemingly simple collection is in fact sophisticated down to the smallest detail. Some models are assembled in more than 40 pieces with elaborate cuts aimed at highlighting the body and flattering its femininity. "La femme fatale is not necessarily aggressive, she can be discreet in a first approach, but her clothes must define her".

“  By choosing a dress,  we can choose who we want to be for the day, for the evening. We become a character according to our accessories and our moods, the time to reveal our Woody Allen or Marlène Dietrich side... With this collection, I don't want us to see dresses, but women".
